Today Pompei receives numbers of visitors wishing to discover what remains of the antic splendours of the Roman Empire in 80 B.C..

Pompei was semi destroyed and covered by dall’the eruption of the Volcano of Mount Vesuvius in79 BC and forgotten for years.

The excavations started in the 18th century and gradually uncovered the fabulous villas with alfrescos preserved over time, an amphitheatre and much more to show the prosperity of the city in the past.

The excavation works are still not yet finished and continue to this day with the desire to donate treasures of the past to the modern world.
